About me

My names Mike Mottram and I have had a passion for watching wildlife and the outdoors since I was child and now that I am in my 20's I have taken up documenting wildlife through photography and film.

I love being out in the field with my kit whether its in a dark wet woodland on a cold winters day or by the sea on a warm summers evening filming the sun going down over the sea the feeling of freedom and clarity I get from being in the outdoors and filming wildlife is like nothing I have ever experienced. I am interested in conservation and have a few projects on at the minute on my local river. I love to Kayak, camp and hiking long distances with all my camera gear.

I have experience in woodwork, cctv and trap camera setups and have outdoor survival skills. I have built up my knowledge from reading hundreds of books  and I have also watched lots of wildlife documentrys to learn all the camera shots and editing tricks. After a lot of research I would then try everything I had learnt in the field and develop the techniques to get the best shot I could.On the creative side I am experienced in many areas from building a website to editing videos plus graphic design and photo editing if theres a job that needs doing then I will put 100% in until its complete to the highest standard.
